What is Multi-Factor Authentication or MFA?
We are aware of the growing need for security and keeping our your information safe and protected. Because of this, we have implemented additional security measures to ensure that only PropertyScout.io users are able to access your account. This involve users being challenged to enter a one-time 6 digit verification code that will be sent to the email address associated with your PropertyScout.io username at your next login.
Additionally, there are three things you can do to help secure your account:

- Regularly review users and their permissions. More information about viewing and editing user, read our support article here.
- Don’t share usernames or passwords and don’t reuse passwords from other websites. Also, be sure to change your password regularly.
- Why are we implementing these changes?
- To increase account security and user verification.
- What if I’m not receiving an email with the PIN?
- Emails can take a few minutes to arrive. If you don’t receive the email, please check your spam folder.
- How can I prepare for this change?
- We recommend reviewing the listed users on your account and ensure every user has their own login id and email address associated with their login id (please do not share login credentials with others). Additionally, we recommend users verify the email addresses associated with their users to have a valid email address on file to receive email notifications.
