API -Difference between Property and People API
Difference between Property and People API
Here’s a breakdown of the two APIs and how they work together:
-
Property API
This API allows users to search using a property address. It returns detailed information about that USPS-deliverable address, such as ownership, property details, and more. You can view the full list of data fields returned here. -
People API
Think of this like a modern “yellow pages.” Users search by name, city, and state, and the API returns a list of matching individuals. From there, you can access available contact details like phone numbers, email addresses, current and past addresses, and more. Learn more here.
Common Use Case:
A user searches a property by address using the Property API to find out who owns it. Once the owner’s name is identified, they can use the People API to dig deeper and potentially find contact information for that individual.
Why are they separate APIs with different pricing?
These are two distinct products, pulling data from different databases and requiring separate API calls. That’s why each has its own pricing structure.
We hope this clears things up!
