How to “monitor” a property

Q1: What is Property Monitoring?

Property Monitoring allows you to track updates and changes to a specific property over time. This includes changes such as ownership transfers, new deeds, or mortgage filings.

Q2: How do I activate monitoring on a property?

  1. Open the property profile you want to monitor.

  2. Click “Enable Monitoring” to Receive notifications for updates on this property.

  3. That’s it! You’ll automatically get email alerts when something changes.

Q3: What types of changes will I be notified about?

You’ll receive alerts for major events like:

  • Change in ownership

  • New deed filings

  • Mortgage changes

  • Any other updated public record info tied to the property

Q4: Is Property Monitoring included in my plan?

Yes! This is a complimentary feature included with your active subscription. There’s no extra cost for turning on monitoring.

Q5: Does Property Monitoring use up my search credits?

Yes. For every property you choose to monitor, we deduct 1 search credit per month from your account — even if there are no changes. This helps us keep your property data current in the background.

Q6: Can I stop monitoring a property?

Absolutely. You can go to the property profile and click “Stop Monitoring” at any time. No more search credits will be used starting the next billing cycle.

Q7: How often is the property data checked for changes?

We scan for updates on a regular basis—typically once per month—to ensure you receive timely and accurate notifications.

Q8: Where do I see the properties I’m monitoring?

You can view all monitored properties by going to your Dashboard and clicking on the “Monitor History” tab.
